Stop using Internet Explorer
Most (objective) people in the web industry will arguably agree that Internet Explorer has been one of the great causes for the fact that technologies involved in presenting websites and web applications haven't evolved as quickly as they could.
Because of this, we launched back in September 2010 a website that would help people understand why was this the case, and give a tool for web developers to easily warn Internet Explorer users of this.
StopUsingIE is dead. Long live StopUsingIE.
Today we're killing StopUsingIE. There are plenty other websites that warn people of Internet Explorer's issues (specially versions 6, 7 and 8), better alternatives to raise awareness for this cause and since we're on a "focus frenzy" (we've also pulled the plug on a couple of other beta projects that were never really announced on our blog, and were distracting us from our goals), we decided this is the way to go.
Note: For the developers that were using our hosted script, we are now redirecting that to another location. It's still working, but in a year we will remove these files.
